MUFUKU DIARIES
Mufuku is a place found on the river bed that holds water for drinking when dug up during the dry season. When the hole is dug up the water that collects is normally muddy at first but after a while it settles, leaving the clean water at the top and the sand on the bottom. This is also used when there is no fresh water in sight. Relatably so this is similar to the dry season that inmates go through during their time in prison. Despite their sentence, there is still that chance for them to mentally come out of criminal behaviour and conform to societally acceptable norms. These conversations have seen a deeper understanding of maladaptive behaviour among inmates.
